Wonderland Sweets Bakery is currently running out of the restaurant kitchen inside Giovanni’s in Rockford, IL. Our main goal is to prepare all cakes, sweets, pastries and confections using fresh, real ingredients. We enjoy presenting them with our unique designs using items such as organic edible flowers, handcrafted meringues, Belgian chocolate drips and 24K gold leaf! We love to execute traditional favorites simply as well as creating new spins on old classics by pairing combinations of fruits, herbs, nuts, cheeses, etc.

Ashley Boykin is the founder, owner and pastry chef behind Wonderland Sweets. Ashley has studied in Chicago, IL at the Cooking & Hospitality Institute and graduated in May 2009 as an Associate of Applied Science in Baking & Patisserie. Ashley has baked her way through Rockford working at local hotspots such as GreenFire Restaurant, Bakery & Bar, Franchesco’s Ristorante & Fresco at the Gardens. She has worked along side so many tremendously skilled and talented chefs that have helped her build on her education and experience along the way. Ashley is passionate about all things baking, pastry and art. Wonderland Sweets is now where Ashley strives for greatness and brings her passion, skills, talent, experience and education to serve the Rockford area!
Alejandro studied at Le Cordon Bleu Chicago, IL and graduated in 2010 with a certificate in Culinary Arts. Alejandro has worked at restaurants such as the Michelin star Goosefoot in Chicago, IL, The Abbey Resort in Lake Geneva, WI as well as Abreo Restaurant in Downtown Rockford, IL. Though his experience and passion started in restaurants, Alejandro has grown a deep love for chocolate confections! He is the chocolatier and french macaron master at Wonderland Sweets Bakery. Alejandro's passion, dedication and excellent work ethic elevates Wonderland Sweets Bakery!
